The new wireless Powercontrol VI:
New 4 connector cable - with sealant.

New USB Cable and Charger - the charger plugs into the USB cable so I assume the PCVI will charge when attached to a computer.

New charger

PCVI in sleep mode

PCVI switched on but not connected to any devices

PCVI Switched on and connected to a wireless device

PCVI - press mode and you get averages just like a PCV

PCVI press mode again to get to maximums just like a PCV - expect the top line, seetware below for choices for this line

Press mode again to get to the time/date and temperature screen

Zero Offset is done in exactly the same way: Pressing mode & Set

Pressing mode & pro comes up with this: Your guess is as good as mine as to what this means - it isnt the firmware number as the top line changes as does the number of 'o's. The 'o's pulse across when connected to a wireless device.

Pressing more again gets the totals display:

Rear of the PCVI with the 4 proned cable:

So no dot matrix user configureable display. Additional features are altitude on the top line, a power zone indicator in the bottom left, charges from USB and it is wireless. You can also go into setup mode by pressing the pro and set buttons for 5 seconds where you can set:
time & date
recording rate (it can store 1055 hours in 1 second record rate),
slope, automatic or manual (I dont know if this overirdes the transmitted slope for a wireless crank)
wheel circumference
your power zones
Wireless MTB afterburner crank with slope and wireless crank ID number

SRM Win 6.40.01 Beta2 (there a seperate PCVI firmware upload utility on the CDROM)

Click special to get to this screen

Click the hardware tab for this screen. Pairing is done via the PCVI - I will post a section on this later today. Alternatively you can to enter a new wireless sensors ID number here to talk to a new device.
