Freehub Bodies
Powertap hubs are available in 2 different axle sizes, 12mm and 15mm. For each type there are steel and alloy freehubs available.
12mm axles have lock nuts on either end which are secured using a 17mm cone spanner. The axle will have 5mm allen key insertion points at either:
just the non drive side end or
both ends
depending how new the wheel/hub is. Spacers are used to get the correct spacing for Shimano and Campagnolo freehubs. If changing from Shimano to Campagnolo or visa versa the placement of the spacers on the hub has to be changed to match the new freehub type. Some re-dishing of the wheel may be required.

15mm axles were introduced with the Powertap SL+ and SLC+ in 2009, this was rolled out to all of the hubs in 2010. The SL+, SLC+ and Pro+ would have alloy freehubs and the Elite+ would have a steel freehub. This uses a push fit system where the end caps click into place. The freehub is removeable by hand and swapping between Campagnolo and Shimano or visa versa requires no re-dishing.
